The Spring Realty “Home Is Where The Art Is” Art Swap!
Home Is Where The Art Is: June 4th and 5th 11-6pm
Want to create some art with us this weekend? Come celebrate the power of Art during the Riverdale Art Walk at the Spring Realty: Home Is Where The Art Is Booth #32 in Jimmy Simpson park on the Riverside/Leslieville border. Loads of the artists have already created their Art Swap pieces so all we need is your creative touch! We’ll also be auctioning off our custom East Side maps and giving away our brand new Leslieville tote bags!
Here’s How The Spring Realty Art Swap Works
- Choose your supplies:
- a 5×7 blank canvas board
- Take small amount of paint from the jars, using a popsicle stick
- Choose your brush/palette/fingers
- Get ready to create!
- Create a piece of art that embodies the theme “Home is Where the Art Is”. You may use markers, paints, crayons or found objects to create this
- When finished, don’t forget to sign the back
- Add a piece of Velcro to the back if contributing to the Community Art Gallery Board
- Celebrate your amazing creativity by taking a selfie with your new art, against the Twitter wall. Tweet it using the #TorontoArtWalks AND #RiverdaleArtWalk
- You can either: Contribute your piece to the Community art board, swap your piece for another one in the library or take your work home and enjoy it!

The Riverdale Art Walk
For 18 years the Artists’ Network’s Riverdale Art Walk has been featuring local artists in an outdoor festival. This year The Riverdale Art Walk was bigger and better than ever and featured over 180 established and emerging artists exhibiting painting, photography, mixed media, printmaking, drawing and sculpture.
Free and open to the public, visitors, park goers and the community were able to experience art all in one area over two days. The perfect weather made it easy for thousands of visitors to discuss art with the artists and find that perfect piece or two to take home and make their own.
